A project management tool for ongoing tasks

Vivantio sells itself as a tool that you may use to run your business, but it is actually a project management tool that has been stretched out so that it may be used on a recurring basis to help run a business. The tool has plenty of functions and features, which would have made it a world beater if the tool were not so difficult to operate and it were not so unintuitively designed.

An okay project management tool that isn’t great

Vivantio is marketing by a website full of meaningless marketing blurb. It is trying to win the world record for most meaningless buzzwords stuffed into website. That is not to say that the tool is bad, it is an okay project management tool, but it isn’t a great as it online marketing would have you believe. Its primary/core use is as a task manager where you are able to set tasks, assign them tickets, delegate tasks, track task progress, set up reports and schedule auto tasks. It does this job okay, but the way the tool is laid out and the poor design means the tool demands a lot of staff hours to operate it.

Some businesses may benefit from such a tool

It is up to you to find the right type of project management tool for your business, and there is a chance that Vivantio may help you. However, you will have to spend a lot of time training your staff how to use the awkwardly designed interface. The asset management tools are below average, but the service level milestone tracking and customer SLA tracking may be useful if you can get your staff to commit to the program and if you can generate sufficient information about your customers so that it may be added into the tool. To conclude, the tool is okay, but it probably won’t impress you.

  • Pros

    • Their auto-task function may help you save time
    • The reporting system is reasonably useful
  • Cons

    • Their website is full of meaningless buzzwords
    • Their prices are far too expensive for the service they offer

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
